MONA SHEIKH
Born in 1978. Lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark
 
Mona Sheikh has specialized on political Islam and is educated at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen. She is a lecturer and societal debater and writes for the Danish daily newspaper Information and the political journal Ræson as a commentator. She is the co-editor of and contributor to the anthologies Islam i bevægelse (Copenhagen: Akademisk Forlag, 2003) and Vakuum (Copenhagen: Tiderne Skifter, 2001). In addition, she has contributed to a range of anthologies with essays addressing political Islam and being a Muslim in an European context, among others: “Religion i Vesten og politik i Islam – samklang eller sammenstød?,” in Jens M.
