Joaquin has lived in Denmark since 1996. He was educated as a sculptor in Spain from 1991-96, specializing in stone and casting techniques. Since 2001, he has been studying at The Jutland Academy of Fine Arts, Aarhus, Denmark, expecting to graduate in 2006. Joaquin mainly works with socially orientated projects and concepts, i.e. social communication, prejudices, and identity. He often takes his starting point in local communities where social discrepancies exist. Joaquin has co-arranged and contributed to projects in Denmark and abroad.
